In the 23 March 2017 issue of the Official Gazette, the following principles regarding the issuance of green passports to exporters are determined:
As of the last three years, the annual average exports;
Companies between 1 million US dollars and 10 million US dollars to 1 (one) official,
Companies between 10 million USD and 25 million USD have 2 (two) officials,
Companies between 25 million US Dollars and 50 million US Dollars have 3 (three) officials,
Companies between 50 million USD and 100 million USD have 4 (four) officials,
Companies with more than USD 100 million to 5 (five) officials,
apply for a green passport.
Exporters are given a green passport for 2 years, spouses and children will not benefit from this right.
The firms that export in the specified amounts shall be determined by the Ministry of Economy on the basis of official foreign trade statistics and shall be notified to the regional directorates and exporters unions of the Ministry by February 15 of each year.
The sales of the companies operating in the free zone abroad will be taken into consideration in the calculation of the specified export amount, but the sales made abroad by bringing them to the free zone through domestic production or processing activities will not be taken into consideration in the calculation of the export amount.
Green passport application will be made to the exporters union of which the company is a member after the request form determined by the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Economy is completed. After the Exporter Union has determined that the documents are complete, the request form will be submitted to the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Economy and after the approval of the Regional Directorate, the passport application will be made in person.
